Hey there, fellow travelers! Recently, my family and I took an unforgettable trip to Bearizona Wildlife Park, a fantastic wildlife park located in Williams, Arizona. If you’re looking for a unique adventure that combines the thrill of a safari with the charm of a traditional zoo, this is the place for you. Let me take you through our wild journey!
A Little History
Bearizona Wildlife Park was founded in 2010 by the Casey family, who envisioned a park where visitors could see North American animals in environments that closely resemble their natural habitats. Over the years, it has grown into a must-visit destination, offering both a drive-through wildlife park and a walk-through zoo.

Our Drive-Through Wildlife Safari
We started our adventure with the drive-through wildlife park. From the moment we entered, we were greeted by the sight of majestic bison roaming freely. It felt like we were on a mini-safari, right here in Arizona!
Black Bears and White Knuckles
One of the highlights was seeing the black bears up close. They were so much bigger than I imagined! At one point, a bear casually strolled right past our car, and we all held our breath in excitement and a bit of nervousness. It’s not every day you’re just a few feet away from a powerful bear!
Strolling Through Fort Bearizona
After the drive, we parked and headed into Fort Bearizona, the walk-through section of the park. This area has a more traditional zoo setup but with a rustic, charming vibe.
Adorable Otters and Playful Bobcats
The otters were a family favorite. We spent a good chunk of time watching them swim and play—it was like they were putting on a show just for us. My kid couldn’t get enough of their antics. The bobcats were equally captivating, lounging gracefully in their enclosures.
The Porcupine and Bird Show
Next, we made our way to the porcupine and bird show, which turned out to be both educational and entertaining. The porcupine, with its quills and curious behavior, was a big hit with the kids.
Birds of Prey in Action
The bird show was a standout. We learned so much about different birds of prey, including hawks, owls, and eagles. The handlers shared fascinating facts and conservation messages, making it a truly enriching experience.
